Ghosts and ghouls

Well, after 2 weeks of mid-terms, class presentations, the usual economics homework, and accounting quizzes, this week, things are finally starting to calm down! And I couldn't be more thrilled about that :)

~Just a few things that have been going on~
(Listed from most recent to oldest)

1) Last night, I went to the Haunted Forest in American Fork. And let me tell you, it was so scary!! I think since I was the smallest and most easily scared of the group, the actors kept targeting me! Just for example, I got chased, yeah, not just followed, CHASED, by four different people with chainsaws! And how many different people with chainsaws did we pass? Um...lemme see...oh yeah, it was four. So every single actor with a chainsaw that we passed totally got in my face and chased me! They told us not to run, but I couldn't help it - I was really scared! haha, but it was really fun.

2) Before the Haunted Forest, I went to BYU's experimental theater to see seven short plays written by BYU students. Some of them were weird, but a few of them were really good! The best part was that we got free tickets from my wonderful friend, Loriann :)

3) Congratulations to Don and Diane who just got engaged this week!

4) Last Sunday, I went over to Scott and Katie's for pizza and games. Looks to me as though Luke is getting bigger every time I see him! He's a cutie.

Well, that's all for now! Hope everyone is doing well!

Linford 5 Ladies

Well, I've officially been living in Linford for a week now, so I guess it's time to post some pictures...

When you walk in the door, this is what you see....our cute little living room. Thanks to my Dad for the TV!

And this is the other wall. Eh, it's still a work in progress, but I still think it's cute. And thanks again to my Dad for the shelving unit!

This is our room! Mine and Haley's. You can't really see much from this angle.....

And this is my side of our room. I like the little shelves above the bed since I have like no desk space, but still, I like it :)

Let's see...in other news....

1) My new ward is awesome!
2) My classes are freakin' SWEET! Except for the fact that everyone I met says I'm crazy for being a senior and still having a long time to go. I thought everyone did that at BYU, haha. But this week has shown me that I was wrong about that. Nonetheless, I actually like school, so I don't mind being here for a long time.
3) I live like 3 minutes from campus....I leave at 9.25 and get there in time for my class at 9.30.

Basically, everything is going really well. I'm really really glad to be back..... :)

A Break! --- sort of

(: ~FINALS ARE OVER~ :)

.....at least, for the next 2 months ;)

So it's time for a little break, right? Well, it's actually been pretty nice not having to worry about school or papers or finals, but I've been keeping busy packing up my apartment getting ready to move tomorrow and spending time with my family. They've been such a big help packing up stuff and making sure I had a car when needed - like for Kirsten's wedding reception tonight! It was so beautiful, and she looked gorgeous, of course. I took Haley to the airport afterward, and we shared a bittersweet farewell. She'll be in Georgia for the weekend and then head off to PARIS for Study Abroad on Monday! I'll miss having her around, but I know she'll love it!

As for me, I'm excited to move into a new place and start up with classes again! :-D

--- Haley strikes back ---

So this is Haley's response to my cups prank.....

She emptied my food shelf and posted the "Single?" sign all over in it (the Bisquick is there just to show that it's my food shelf. I made pancakes for brunch....)

~~~ She then proceeded to put all my food in the....SHOWER! It didn't take me too long to find it, but it was pretty funny. About that random goo stuff - I have no idea what it is, and neither does Haley! She was just gonna throw it away anyway, so why not use it as part of the prank, eh?
She posted the rest of the "Single?" signs along the walls of the shower. The best part was when my roommate, Jess, came out of our room and wanted to hop in the shower. I just said, "Um, it's gonna be a little while!"
My turn again! :)
Pranks cont....
My response to Haley's letter prank....
I wrote "Single?" on the bottom of over 200 cups and filled them all with water and covered the floor of her room.
Anybody thirsty??
It's on...... :)
Papers and Pranks
Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged...
My excuses:
* Midterms....
* Papers
....
* Finals next week
...
* Work
....
* Prank wars...
Here's a bit of the prank war that's been going on:
- Haley put this sign as my --> Facebook profile picture and the background to my computer.
<--- I pasted about 50 of these signs all over the walls in her room....
- While I was at work, Haley took my letter from Tim and carefully opened it, took out the letter, and put the "Single?" sign inside and super glued it shut. She then hid my actual letter - it was taped on the ceiling above the fish tank! I tore my room apart looking for it, and then finally found it in the common room like 10 minutes later.
- Now it's my turn.... :)
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
This weekend was full of activities! First, Friday was my first official night as a manager for Sub Zero Ice Cream! Thanks to the wonderful people I work with, it went smoothly, and I didn't even need Michael to come in and help out :)
Then on Saturday, we had Kirsten's Bridal Shower! It was so fun!! Haley did an awesome job organizing it and putting it on. We had so much good food, funny videos to watch, and lots of silly girls to laugh with. Thanks to everyone who helped me and Haley get everything ready!
And then for Saturday night, we had the grand finale to the weekend - the ward Variety Show! My whole apartment put together an act/skit/song/dance which was pretty much the funnest thing we have done as an apartment together. I'm gonna try to upload the video of the act later, but for now I just have pictures. I pretty much live with the coolest girls ever :) It was a great weekend!
...An Enchanted Weekend...
This weekend was full of excitement for me! I never really have big plans, but this time, I actually did, and I loved it!
On Friday, my roommates and I went to Carl's Jr. (yum), the gymnastics meet (Go Cougars!), and to see ENCHANTED at the dollar movie at the Wilk.
Then on Saturday, SubZero Ice Cream opened! I worked for a few hours before heading off to my evening activities. First, Haley and I went to see a play - The Last 5 Years. It's the story of a couple given in 2 perspectives: the girl's and the guy's. The guy's story starts at the beginning of their courtship and ends with the breakup of their marriage, and the girl's story begins at the end of the marriage and works back to the first meeting. All the songs are solos except in the middle where the stories meet, at their wedding.
(You can read a plot summary here.) It was AMAZING!! Afterwards, Haley and I stopped by at the ward dance. Everyone looked so pretty in their formal dresses, and we had lots of fun! :)
"We're gonna take it into overtime..."
Well, yesterday I finally finished all my midterms!  It's been a busy couple weeks, with two last week and two more this week, but I finally finished and was thrilled about it!
To celebrate, I wanted to go to Haley's Women's chorus concert (they're so good, and I always love going to their concerts), but it was sold out, so instead, we planned to meet up with Cassie afterward and have a girls' night.  I wanted to go see "Dan in Real Life" at the dollar movie, but when we got there, it was sold out!  So we formulated another plan - ice cream at the creamery and watching "Space Jam."  So we got our ice cream, rented the movie, got some popcorn, and let the fun begin!  It's been so long since any of us watched that movie, so it was so  great just to sit with the girls and laugh together.  Kirsten was even home to watch it with us, and Jess came a little later to watch the last bit too.  It was great to spend time with my roommates - it's so hard to get everyone in the same room anymore with all our busy schedules.  It was a great night! :)
